Year Running: 2017/2018
Credit level: F7

Description

This module aims to provide students with the skills to critically and efficiently apply a range of advanced mathematical methods currently used in medical image processing. They include variational methods in optimization problems, differential geometry and tensors, groups of transformations, and statistical models. The module focus is double: Providing a deep but intuitive understanding of their meaning, features, and possible applications, and the skills to effectively apply them.
